Since 2021 we’ve had an ongoing collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy creating their exhibition identities. We’ve had the pleasure of doing the theme exhibitions 70% Less, Adfærd/Velfærd, New Design & Architecture and last years’ theme show Planetary Boundaries.

PLANETARY BOUNDARIES: The Royal Danish Academy has a special focus on exploring new ways to reduce carbon emissions in building projects, to refurbish and restore buildings rather than build new ones, and to create designs that last. The focal point of the Planetary Boundaries – Rethinking Architecture and Design exhibition is to perceive the world from a fresh perspective, seeking an approach to architecture and design disciplines that revolves around planetary well-being and the state of the global environment.

NEW DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE: The graduation exhibition 2022 at the Royal Danish Academy — Architecture, Design & Conservation! The new architects and designers provide input to a wide range of agendas, all of which share the goal of inspiring a more sustainable future. The graduation projects are based on a unique knowledge base from practice, science and art. They are the result of years of theoretical and experimental preparation.

70% LESS: The Danish government has set a goal to reduce CO2 emissions by 70% before 2030. As an educational and research institution, the Royal Danish Academy aims to contribute to that goal. The exhibition shows researchers’ and students’ proposals for solutions, material experiments, basic research and resource optimisation that will help reduce the emission of CO2.

ADFÆRD/VELFÆRD: When Covid-19 shut down large parts of the world community and put our health and welfare under pressure, it made us see how important a role physical layout and human behavior have for our well-being. The exhibition presents student and research projects focusing on how architecture and design can promote health and welfare in the future.
